Carl Hooper has denied any interest in coaching Bangladesh. Earlier this week the BCB had spoken of the former West Indies captain as one of the early candidates.”I was asked if I was interested, said I wasn’t and that was the last I heard of it,” Hooper told . “I was hoping Bangladesh would retract what they have apparently said that I was ‘interested in the job’. I have not applied and I am not interested. I am happy at Woodville.”On Monday, BCB media committee chairman Jalal Yunus had said Hooper was one of those interested in taking up the offer after the board had advertised for the position that had been vacated by Richard Pybus in October last year. ESPNcricinfo understands that Hooper’s agent had contacted the BCB.However, Hooper said he would rather be interested in other options, especially because he would always put his family first in these matters. “I know there are a few things that might come up in South Australia or the Caribbean. My kids are settled here so I want to stay here if I can.”There’s a lot of stuff in the air with SACA [South Australia Cricket Association] and the clubs. I always put my family first. That is why the Bangladesh thing is so far-fetched.”

Por outro lado, a boa condição financeira também aumenta a pressão em torno do clube em relação a títulos e bons resultados de uma forma imediata.
– Como qualquer coisa, temos ônus e bônus. O bônus é contratar e ter dinheiro para ser agressivo no mercado. Já o ônus é a cobrança, que é muito mais alta, além do mercado.Quando há uma equipe com renda para investir, naturalmente aumenta o preço do ativo em questão – explicou Ximenes.

Dirigente com experiência no futebol, Felipe Ximenes passou por diversos clubes ao redor do Brasil, com destaque para Fluminense e Flamengo. O dirigente ressaltou as diferenças de trabalhar em um clube do “G12”, grupo com os considerados os maiores do país, e em times de menor expressão, que, apesar da importância histórica no contexto do futebol brasileiro, não possuem as mesmas condições de competir.
– O grande desafio de um clube como Bahia, Vitória, Coritiba, Náutico e Criciúma, nos quais eu já trabalhei, é conseguir conscientizar o seu público interno da realidade naquele momento, porque a maioria dos torcedores e a mídia acabam exigindo que sejam tão competitivos com orçamentos completamente diferentes, como os de Palmeiras e Flamengo – argumentou.
Ximenes indicou um manual para se trabalhar em um clube longe dos holofotes de destaque no Brasil, afirmando que, justamente por essa diferença em relação aos grandes, é mais difícil de se chegar a um resultado positivo.
– Você precisa ter criatividade, agilidade, relacionamento e credibilidade junto ao mercado para conseguir, com muito menos munição, atingir os alvos que imagina. Sem dúvida, é um grande desafio. É um trabalho estimulante, até porque, num clube como esses, as vitórias devem ser sempre comemoradas – destacou.

ويحل الترجي ضيفاً على الأهلي يوم الجمعة المقبل 19 مايو على ملعب استاد القاهرة بإياب نصف نهائي المسابقة القارية.

ESPNcricinfo staff04-Feb-2013The Enforcement Directorate of India’s finance ministry has levied a penalty of approximately Rs 100 crore ($18.77 million) against IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals for violating India’s foreign exchange laws. According to the order, the Royals’ owners have a 45-day deadline to pay the fine but can appeal the order.The ED issued three separate notices to the various owners, PTI reported, after two years of investigations under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Jaipur IPL Cricket Private Limited (JIPL) was hit with a Rs 50 crore penalty, EM Sporting Holding, Mauritius with Rs 34 crore and a notice of Rs 14.5 crore against Ms ND Investments, United Kingdom.The ED has been investigating financial and foreign exchange irregularities against all franchises and this is the first big order against a team. The order said the ED found that foreign investment in JIPL was made in “flagrant contravention of FEMA” and the investment made in this regard was made “much prior to the incorporation of JIPL”.A statement issued by Royals said acknowledged receiving an order in respect of alleged breaches of FEMA. “We are discussing the contents of the order with our lawyers and intend to launch a full appeal against the order,” it said.The penalty was issued after investigations pointed out that funds in the firm had been remitted in an irregular manner and shares were allegedly issued in violation of forex rules stipulated and framed by the Reserve Bank of India, the country’s topmost bank.The ED issued the first penalty order against Rajasthan Royals in mid-2011 and it recently moved the FEMA Adjudicating Authority in Delhi to vet its investigation in this case and issue final orders. The agency, during its probe, relied on bank documents and statements made by the directors and investors of Rajasthan Royals.The ED has issued almost 24 show cause notices, amounting Rs 2000 crore, under FEMA against various IPL franchises and the BCCI.

O goleiro Sidão, apresentado na tarde desta quarta-feira pelo Goiás, chega com vontade de lutar por títulos. O jogador, que está com o elenco desde do início da pré-temporada, quer deixar sua marca no clube ajudando a escrever um novo capítulo na história do esmeraldino. O jogador de 36 anos se destacou sendo vice-campeão paulista pelo Audax. Depois, foi titular no Botafogo e no São Paulo no Campeonato Brasileiro.
– A camisa do Goiás tem peso e sei da responsabilidade. Tem essa expectativa de líder, de ser ídolo, mas estou tranquilo. Vamos trabalhar dia-a-dia, pés no chão. Aqui tem grandes goleiros, não posso falar que vou ser ídolo e titular. Psicologicamente, estou tranquilo por tudo que vivi. Os meus números são bons e deixa isso para o treinador, disse Sidão, em entrevista coletiva.
Uma das características de Sidão é jogar com os pés – algo que poucos goleiros se arriscam com propriedade. Para o novo arqueiro do time, porém, isso não o coloca em vantagem na briga pela posição.
– Esta é uma característica minha. Alguns companheiros dizem que sou chato. Mas outros elogiam e agradecem. Dentro de campo, eles vão ver que eu sou um cara que sempre orienta e que joga os caras para cima para conquistar o resultado. Dentro de campo, sou liderança positiva, que é a que nos favorece, afirmou Sidão.
Sidão disputará a vaga com Marcos, Matheus e, posteriormente, Marcelo Rangel que já estavam no elenco. A torcida saberá quem será o titular na meta esmeraldina no próximo sábado (12), quando o Goiás disputará um jogo-treino contra o Capital-DF, às 17h , no Estádio Hailé Pinheiro.

England’s top order was not entirely convincing on the opening day of their warm-up match against a New Zealand XI in Queenstown, but Ian Bell’s hundred ensured they posted a reasonably healthy 357 for 7 while Jimmy Neesham was the most successful of the bowlers, taking 4 for 65.Bell played neatly during the one-day series but before this match spoke of the importance of shifting tempos between the formats. He did as he said, playing out periods where the bowling was tight and picking off the loose deliveries. Although the bowling was inconsistent at times, these were not freebie runs.His hundred, his second in consecutive first-class innings dating back to the Nagpur Test, came in the final half an hour of the day when he cover-drove his 13th boundary, to bring hearty applause from a small group of England supporters on the grass banks. He then expressed himself with a string of crisp fours. After his problems early on the India tour, with the distraction of waiting for the birth of his child, he now looks a batsman at ease again.”Some of the one-day wickets we’ve played on here have been absolutely flat,” Bell said. “So to play on a wicket a little bit more in the bowlers’ favour was a good test – and it was nice to come through that. There’s enough grass on there, a lot left on that pitch, so I think the new ball will be key. There was just enough seam movement all day, and I hope it will be the same throughout the game.”The five frontline bowlers in the opposition have all played for New Zealand at international level and the seam bowling in particular kept England on their toes. The partnership was 97 when Root played inside the line against Carl Cachopa, who has a reputation for a golden-arm in domestic cricket, and lost his off stump.Matt Prior was bustling from the moment he arrived, getting his first boundary with a sweet clip through midwicket, and scored at a run-a-ball during his stay. It was the most fluent batting by the new arrivals and the type of innings he so frequently produces until he lent back on a cut shot and picked out point to hand Neesham his fourth.From New Zealand’s perspective, this match was meant to be between two bowlers – Wagner and Mark Gillespie – with a spot in the Test squad up for grabs, but both were outshone by Neesham, although he is unlikely to be in Test consideration.Wagner, though, picked up his second wicket when Chris Woakes got a leading edge to mid-on as Gillespie remained wicketless and expensive, although he was convinced he had Bell caught behind late in the day.

Nico Freire – contrato até junho
O zagueiro foi emprestado pelo Club Atlético Torque, do Uruguai, que faz parte do grupo que gere o inglês Manchester City, e dificilmente renovará. O argentino atuou só uma vez pelo clube, em amistoso na excursão do Verdão à América Central durante a Copa do Mundo, e nunca jogou com Felipão.
Gustavo Gómez – contrato até junho
O zagueiro é uma unanimidade entre os palmeirenses depois do excelente desempenho no ano passado. Está emprestado pelo Milan até 30 de junho e, se estiver em mais de 50% dos jogos do time desde sua chegada até o fim do vínculo, o Palmeiras é obrigado a pagar 1,5 milhão de euros (quase R$ 6,5 milhões) para ampliar seu empréstimo por mais um ano. Mas o Verdão teria ainda a possibilidade de tê-lo em definitivo por 4,5 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 19 milhões), e a diretoria considera fortemente essa possibilidade.
Felipe Melo – contrato até dezembro
O volante já disse, no ano passado, que gostaria de ampliar seu vínculo com o Palmeiras, mas ainda não há movimentações da diretoria que indicam renovação. O meio-campista, que completará 36 anos em junho, foi importante na conquista do Campeonato Brasileiro e chegou a estar nos planos do Flamengo para 2019, mas as conversas entre os clubes sequer iniciaram. Seu desempenho nesta temporada definirá sua continuidade.
Guerra – contrato até dezembro
O venezuelano passará por um trabalho físico individual para diminuir as lesões e ter maior frequência dentro de campo, exatamente o que pesa para a sua continuidade. Pouco utilizado desde a chegada de Felipão, o meia, que fará 34 anos em julho, chegou a ser cotado no Cerro Porteño, do Paraguai, para esta temporada, e esteve na mira de outros clubes brasileiros, mas as negociações não avançaram. A expectativa é de que o camisa 18 mostre condições de ser mais útil para ampliar seu vínculo com o Palmeiras.
Jean – contrato até dezembro
O volante, que completará 33 anos de idade em junho, inicia sua quarta temporada no clube muito bem cotado com Luiz Felipe Scolari. O meio-campista já disse que será eternamente grato ao Palmeiras, já que recuperou-se de uma lesão no joelho direito que quase pôs fim à sua carreira, no começo de 2018. Existe a possibilidade de ampliar seu vínculo se continuar sendo frequentemente utilizado no rotina implantado pelo treinador. Começa 2019 com um trabalho físico individualizado para ser mais frequente em campo.
Fernando Prass – contrato até dezembro
O goleiro completará 41 anos de idade em julho e já disse que quer atuar profissionalmente, no mínimo, até o final de 2020. O camisa 1 virou reserva de Weverton em 2018, mas ouviu a promessa de Scolari de atuar mais neste ano, já que o rodízio na posição deve aumentar. Um dos maiores ídolos da torcida do atual elenco, foi alvo de campanha para que renovasse para 2019 e o mesmo pode ocorrer nesta temporada.
Jailson – contrato até dezembro
Também idolatrado pela torcida, o goleiro de 37 anos é outro que deve ter mais oportunidades na temporada, diante da promessa de maior rodízio no setor feita por Felipão. É considerado importante pela diretoria dentro do elenco e tem uma possibilidade grande de ampliar por mais um ano o seu vínculo no final da temporada, dependendo do que apresentar em campo.
Edu Dracena – contrato até dezembro
O zagueiro de 37 anos começa mais uma temporada com um trabalho físico individual para minimizar suas dores, como ocorreu com sucesso em 2018. O defensor teve seu contrato ampliado até o final da temporada depois de conquistar o Campeonato Brasileiro e compõe com Antônio Carlos uma das duplas montadas por Scolari e, dentro do rodízio, deve atuar bastante novamente. Dependendo do desempenho, também pode renovar.
